Chemical Pest Control -

Rodent Control

Fall brings about many changes. The leaves turn from green to golden, red and brown, football season kicks off tailgate parties and homecoming events, and the cooler mornings and evenings mean that sweater weather is upon us. The changing season is also a sign that pests will begin moving indoors to find shelter from the lower temperatures.

The most threatening of these fall invaders are rodents, particularly mice. Your chance for invasion increases if your summer weather conditions were favorable for mouse reproduction. Wet weather prompts abundant growth of weeds and other seed-bearing plants – a food source that feeds plenty of mice. Mice are present in both urban and suburban communities and rural areas, whereas rats are more common in urban areas and rural communities. Because of their smaller size, mice are also more prevalent in homes since they have more available potential entryways. After all, a mouse only needs a crack or hole 1/4-inch or larger to enter a building—rats need holes larger than the size of a quarter. The most common way for mice to enter a home is under the garage door because most such doors have gaps. Garage doors left open for extended periods of time make it even easier for mice to enter.

Because they are excellent climbers, rodents are also capable of entering homes through holes around Office vents, cables entering the building, gable vents, and turbine and box vents on roofs.

The best way to avoid invasions of rodents is to provide as little harbor age as possible that might attract them, and seal as many holes and cracks as possible on the outside of the home.

We launch a baiting, trapping and gassing campaign for eradication of these pests. Baits and traps are kept according to movements of rats. Our experienced operator visits your premises once a week for carrying out these control measures.
